Toonz Going after US Feature Film Market with Live Action Christmas Movie



Best-selling author William Hazelgrove hilarious work ‘Real Santa’ is set for Live Action feature film by Toonz Media Group Global kids and family entertainment company Toonz Media Group has announced that it is producing a live action feature film adaptation of bestselling adventure-fantasy book ‘Real Santa’ by William Hazelgrove. The deal between the author and Toonz was facilitated by recognized media executive Allan Grafman, President and CEO of All Media Ventures. Grafman and Hazelgrove will be Executive Producers. The live action feature film for theatrical release from the house of Toonz, which will be responsible for all aspects of the film from script to screen, launched its feature film division in 2023. Real Santa, the latest in Toonz’ feature film slate is expected to be pitched during the American Film Festival later this year.


Toonz Academy join hands with Karma Play to launch one-year courses in video game art and programming



Technopark-based animation training institute Toonz Academy and Karma Play Academy, promoted by India’s leading game developer Karma Play have jointly announced the launch of their one-year course in video game art to facilitate the students to learn directly from the creators. In a joint press release, both the Academies stated that for the first time in India, students can learn directly from the creators of legendary games such as The Fast & The Furious Tokyo Drift, Candy Crush Saga, Returnal, Unreal Tournament, Star Wars Jedi Academy and The Sims. Also, during the Final Game Project which lasts six months, all students will get the opportunity to work on a real-world game for the PC, and game consoles such as the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X. The students will be working in collaboration with experienced game developers.


Toonz and Studio Eeksaurus' co-production 'Croak Show' wins first award



Toonz and Studio Eeksaurus’ co-production, animated musical shorts ‘Croak Show’ has won its very first award at the first edition of Collision Awards in New York. Both the studios announced the unveiling of its upcoming musical shorts recently and the CGI project’s teaser reveals an amazing arrangement of Indian classical music. The film’s music is composed by the Rajat Dholakia and Sameer Uddin and features the voices of Salman Ali and Chetan Shashital. Additionally, the sound design is masterfully crafted by Oscar-winning sound designer Resul Pookutty. The inspiration for the film came to veteran animation filmmaker and Studio Eeksaurus co-founder and creative director Suresh Eriyat during the Covid lockdown, when he found himself quarantined at a remote resort. At night, the absence of human activity allowed nocturnal creatures to dominate the sonic landscape. Frogs, toads, insects, and crickets created a nightly concert that sparked the idea for this story.

Delegates from the British High Commission in India Mr. Joshua Bamford, Head of Tech and Innovation and Ms. Christi Thomas, Senior Technology and Innovation Adviser at the Science and Innovation Network visited our state-of-the-art 2D and 3D animation production facilities at Toonz premises in Technopark recently. The delegation had engaging discussions with our CEO Mr. P Jayakumar, Ms. Subbalakshmi Venkitadri, and other senior management members.


Toonz Eagles begin campaign at Sevens Football Tournament 2024



Our Toonz Eagles team battled hard with the SRS Titanz team for a goalless draw at the Sevens Football Tournament 2024 match held on July 20. The match marked the beginning of our campaign at this tournament. Despite the tie, Haari K. Jomy from our side became the Player of the Match for his sportsmanship. Raviz Prathidhwani Sevens Football tournament, organised by Prathidhwani, the welfare and recreation forum of IT employees at Technopark, will feature over 2,000 players drawn from 93 IT companies in the state. A total of 152 matches will be held over the weekends till August at the Technopark ground. The winning team will get ₹25,000 cash prize, an ever-rolling trophy and one-day stay at a resort.
